If you may be out in windy weather (this is any season in Utah), get something sturdy from a well known high quality brand. My favorite over the last 10 years is cabelas Alaskan guide series. They are available in multiple sizes with fiberglass or aluminum poles. Lots of $, but worth it.

I would ask the seller he would be willing to resolve the problem. The answer might be no, but it is always no if you don't ask. Some people are just helpful that way.

I did that same section of the green last month in canoes last month. We did the whitewater section above green river in kayaks on the same trip. The whole trip was a blast! Definitely be doing it again.
