I'm no motor expert but that sounds like it could very well could be the case since the leaking oil corresponded with the drop in power. The weird thing is that this motor doesn't smoke. I would think that bad rings would cause serious oil consumption and it would smoke like crazy.

Thanks for the advice. I'll do that sometime in the next week or two. Should be a quick fix if that is the problem.
