Looking for a Toyota 3rz, wiring harness, bell housing, accessories, etc

Thanks. I have a new head and header and have done all the tune up stuff I can to the 22re and it's just not making the power I need. The bottom end really needs to be rebuilt so it's either rebuild the 22re or install a 3rz. The 3rz swap is way more $$$$ but it's a nice setup. On the other...

Local Sonic Fuel Injector Cleaning Shop?

Anyone know of a Local Sonic Fuel Injector Cleaning Shop? I ordered some injectors off ebay and they sent me the wrong ones, I'm in a time crunch and need to have this thing back together by Monday night. Hoping there is a place locally that I can drop my injectors off with. Thanks, Eric

What do you WANT to do?

I want to be a director/manager of a small IT department. Working in that direction now but have more schooling ahead of me that I'll probably start back in on in 2016. We have our 3rd child due in June and with three under three I'm sure things will be pretty crazy for a bit. Once I've made...

    Anybody use CenturyLink internet?

We had Century Link, it sucked big time. Terrible speeds, poor service, lots of down time and not any cheaper than the current comcast internet we're using that is twice as fast and has been down once in the past year for a few hours. I have regularly pull 50 down and around 12 up. Comcast as...

    School me on Windows 8.1

Yes, I've played with it at work a bit. I have 8.1 and 10 on VMs and I like 10 a lot better so far. It sounds like it will be an upgrade to many people that have 7 and 8 but there will be restrictions. I'm hoping the best of 8.1 and 7 are blended together once 10 goes gold.

    School me on Windows 8.1

As far as mapping software, I sue Gai gps for both IOS and Droid and it's pretty much the gold standard for backpackers. Very solid program. Download all the maps you want for free at whatever resolution you want. One time purchase of $19 for the app. Upload files from google earth, export stuff...

Moab Trail Conditions and Recommendations on Jeep Rental

I just spoke with Jim at Outlaw, what a super friendly, nice sounding guy. Unfortunately they aren't doing jeep rentals this year unless it's part of a guided tour. He recommended that I call up Twisted Jeep and ask for Nick or Matt and use him as a referral. Thanks for the advice guys and...

Moab Trail Conditions and Recommendations on Jeep Rental

Sounds like Cliffhanger was the never again and possibly Canyonlands was the more reasonable? Looking into it for them. I don't want it to be a problem for them and certainly don't want them to get screwed. From the reviews I've read cliffhanger is the worst ran rental place in Moab. Edit...

Moab Trail Conditions and Recommendations on Jeep Rental

Holy cow, that sounds terrible. If my truck seated more than two midget sized people I'd work on my truck tomorrow and take them down but unfortunately I haven't made it into a 4-seater yet.

Moab Trail Conditions and Recommendations on Jeep Rental

A few friends of mine are talking about heading down to Moab, renting a jeep (neither has offroaded before) and wheeling. I've never been in the winter time but since this winter has been so mild I told them it would probably be doable and I'd look into it. Unfortunately my truck is out of...

Machine shop/Engine builder and mechanic recommendations -

What kind of turnaround time do the machine shops listed above typically have? Thinking having the motor out may be a good time to cut off the front everything forward of the firewall and rework things... : openscanofworms :

Thinking of Moab the 11th and 12th

A lot depends on how much experience you have an how built your vehicle is. From the sounds of it, not a lot of experience and not super built? If that's the case then I second Steve's recommendations to stay away from Hells and even Fins & Things and go with some more mild trails. The big thing...

Toyota/22RE experts, advise needed. May need bottom end rebuilt... or motor swap

I'm no motor expert but that sounds like it could very well could be the case since the leaking oil corresponded with the drop in power. The weird thing is that this motor doesn't smoke. I would think that bad rings would cause serious oil consumption and it would smoke like crazy.

Thanks for the advice. I'll do that sometime in the next week or two. Should be a quick fix if that is the problem.
