I don't doubt you. I know nothing about the midnight case. I was wondering if you'd ever laminated a stock set of d300 shift forks? If that helped shifting performance under load.

I've heard 2 seperate stories about mechanics or sales people taking customer bikes on test drives -dropping them and trying to conceal the damage and then fighting them to repair it. My experience was when I tried to buy a brand new bike- they quoted me $3,000 over MSRP on the year earlier...

The stock exhaust is super heavy with a giant catalytic converter that does this air cooled bike no favors. So I picked up a carbon fiber Akropovic knock off and a mid pipe from a ZX400 (since it was shaped similar) did a very slight modification and using a KTM exhaust hanger was able to get it...

If you're riding that kind of stuff I would get a set of SKF mud wipers. (They replaced the stock orange rings on the bike). They're actually two piece with a cotter pin holding them together so you can add them without taking the forks off the bike. Also doing fork seals on those xplor forks...

IMO, save your money and spend it on gas in the saddle. A lower seat isn't necessary at your height. While it may make you more comfortable at first, moto seats are flat now days so you can more easily sit forward up on the tank area without sliding back. All of these guys above (and me) can't...
