i think i got the locker figured out, my boss suggested this and i think it will work awesome. Step 1: remove welded carrier and verify bearings are in good working order. Step 2: remove carrier from my current 3rd and swap ring gears. Step 3: re-install welded carrier into current 3rd so...

i have the front axle that needs a full rebuild, thats all so far. i'm gonna get some other things done with the rig then i'm buying the trailgear kit from lowrange. i'm hoping to have the SAS done by next spring

well i attempted to swap the 3rd from my front donor axle (welded carrier) that i will be using for my SAS, to my rear end, no such luck.. the gears are chewed up and gear lash is WAY out. no locker for me.. if anyone has a locked up 3rd with 4:10's they are willing to part with for cheap...

i mentioned this trip to one of our customers and he said he would most likely be there with his buggy and i know he would be interested in the new trail as well if you guys are able to run it.

well, i was planning on having a welded 3rd in the rear of my yota for this one, pulled the 3rd from another axle i have and the gears are chewed up. :confused: chances are i'll be rockin the open difs.

i see where you're coming from and you're prob right, some rigs have no business being out there. myself, i will stay on the trail as much as possible and aim for the the most difficult obstacles possible. going around ANYTHING for me is a last resort. i know i'm still new to the offroad...

so, if i dont have lockers and min of 35's i shouldnt go up and enjoy the trail because im not on the hardcore rock gardens that were the initial trail? i completely understand not widening the trail but it is already established enough for me to go through with my stock rig, so i'm going up...

rattlesnake can be relatively easy-hard depending on what lines u wanna hit. i play up there in my stock toyota on 32's all the time with no sliders and open difs. i can only make it up constrictor so far before i need to turn around though. rattlesnake up to waynes world isn't to rough.

We'll be headin to the parking lot from the chevron so u can just meet us there.
