    View from the spectator area. We were at about mile marker 2 and the cars are 1/4 mile away at their closest point. Diesel Powered. Cummins in the orange streamliner. The red one has in engine from a quarry truck. It holds the record since 2006 at 228 mph. Not sure of HP but torque is at 7000.

    Just got back. First time out. Got there around 9:30-10:00. Ended up about the 2 mile marker. Take binoculars, shade, water, sunscreen, sunglasses and a bicycle to cruise the pits.

    Should be '55-'75 with the under passenger seat "toolbox". My old '73 had one and you are correct, changed with the "re-designed" '76.

    Need specifics of the J truck (year, transmission). Pre 80's will have the front diff on the passenger side, which is what you want. Same as Waggy axles, but that's a general term.
