Suzuki TDI Swapped Samurai Truck Conversion

Figured I don't have a build thread on here, so I decided I should bring everything I got over. I started with a 1986 samurai, engine is a 1998 AHU 1.9 TDI with a mechanical injection pump. Geo tracker transmission, transfercase with 4.24 gears and twin sticks. Toyota driveshafts, samurai axles...

Topic of Discussion The Mahindra Roxor thread

To me it looks like a 5 year old kid drew up the plans to make that top. I think they certainly could have made the windows more aesthetically pleasing.

    The Whole Enchilada Virgins

I rode it last labor day, and planning on it again this year, there was surprisingly hardly any traffic. Burro's pass was ROUGH going up lol. Take plenty of water. I drained my 3 liter camelback, and my extra 3 bottles before I even reached LPS. I'd say plan on 8 hours, if you're riding slow...

Don't forget that they are just two seaters only. I had contemplated renting one, but since there's only two seats, I sprung for the 4 door JK instead since we had three people.

I agree, I think they're super cool, but I dislike how they can only be licensed as a UTV. Here in Utah it's not such a big deal, but in Nebraska where I'm from, that's simply not possible to do, unless it's for farm use. One thing that did cross my mind, was getting the drive train out of a...

    Off road trailer build

I love your floor! You wouldn't happen to have any more of those lid's you'd wanna let go would you? I've been trying to find a unique floor idea for my samurai flatbed, and I think those would be pretty cool!

    Volkswagen TDI talk

I’ll let you know. I won’t know for another week or so if I’ll have the extra cash or not. I’ll definitely let you know if I don’t end up buying it.

    Volkswagen TDI talk

I completely agree. Aside from the accident damage, the exterior looks pretty straight. I’m not sure how the guy let it get that dirty. I actually did get the okay to buy it, but I have to pay for it myself if I want it, she said no to dipping into savings for it haha.

    Volkswagen TDI talk

Thinking about buying this Golf. 2002, 202k miles, engine supposedly replaced 50k miles ago. Got hit on passenger side and totalled because of it. Guy is selling it for $800. It's located in Spokane, WA. I want it, but I don't think my wife is a huge fan of the idea. Still undecided if I should...

    Flying

I typically do that as well, however, I fly mostly short regional flights out of salt lake on Delta, where they're usually just running embraer's with no emergency exit row, so I get screwed no matter what haha.

    Spotted

Saw in West Valley last night. I still don't know what to think, sometimes I think they look cool, other times I think it's hideous. When they're on bigger tires they definitely look better in my opinion.
