After letting the 60 beat me I started working on getting the top of the chassis braced. I had to get tricky with the handy man jack during fit up to get some tight nodes. I will add a few more bent tube gussets when I get some more 1" tube.

Today the front 60 beat me.. . I honed out the C I removed yesterday so I can beat it on and off with a mallet. worked great. Since I'm not shorting the other side it meant I had to save the tube and rather than trying to twist it we figured it would be easier to remove it, hone, and slide...

Feels like a productive day. Found a 60 locally and cheap, tore it down and chromed it up, got the long side c off for shorting it, welded up the diff cover, and beat every one at pool at the bar. :greg: pics.

I ended up picking up a chev drw 60 from the local junk yard for a great deal today. We got it all stripped and am cutting the brackets and C's now. I will post more pics when I have something to show.

I was thinking since it would be flipped to a high pinion(rear engine)I would be able to sling the links where I wanted them easier. looks like im picking up a drw chevy one locally for a good deal. Thanks for the input.

I started this build on valentines day just trying to get you guys caught up. Getting some of the link mounts mocked up. 3 link. 1.25" lowers and 7/8" upper and pan hard bar.

A little bit of mockup

I hole sawed 1.5" hole in some 3/4" flat bar, welded in some 1.5 solid round stock and turned it down to match the 14 b carrier bearing races to make a poor mans alignment pucks.

The short end that was cut off was turned down to fit into the house and the long side got a 12" slug 3/8" thick to splice to the tube left in the housing.
