There are plenty of full sized rigs that have competed and done well too.

Modern winch cable is galvanized, so no real maintenance is needed. Just keep from kinking it, and you'll get many years of use out of it.

Marc, come look at the one I installed. The wheel is great! You can DIY it, vinyl is really easy to work with.
