    Diesel Brothers show on Discovery

I think the best car show right now is Bitchin' Rides. They are not rushed by timelines or forced to do a bunch of stupid antics. Other than the Powerblock, that's my go to.

    Diesel Brothers show on Discovery

I watched the show. I like it for entertainment purposes. I'm not watching it to learn anything. I figure cars built on the show wouldn't be built to a high standard. I find it entertaining and that meet my expectations.

    The new rig conundrum

I've had over 40 I think now. Mostly Land Rover, Mercedes, BMW's. I've never lost money on those, because I can buy them cheap and sell them for more. They are easy to fix and people don't know how to fix them. The only one that was a major pile and I could never get running right was a 2001...

Park with the noise facing uphill. open the coolant reservoir, and let it idle for awhile until it gets up to operating temperature. I've had mine completely empty after having to get all the oil out of the cooling system. I filled mine up in the driveway which has a steep hill to it...

Not good. Do you think you have low coolant or maybe a bubble in the coolant system?

I use Final Charge Global antifreeze in mine. It's very good. No silica in it or other crap to clog up the system. Should be good for 300k miles with a good coolant filter. It's a bit pricy. It won't gel up like the Ford coolant. Get rid of the Ford crap antifreeze if you have it. Its not good.

You need a delta of 7 degrees between oil and coolant temps. If they go over 10 degrees delta you have an oil cooler problem.

    Anybody experienced with Sprinters?

I've had 3 different Mercedes. I've loved them all. And they are always a pleasure to work on. Sprinter vans are not cheap to maintain. Parts can be very pricy. And they don't fair well with body corrosion. Check them out carefully for rust.

    Diesel Mechanical Fuel pump rebuilding?

Yes. I've been researching for months. I found the parts to do it finally. They up fuel in Europe a lot.

Anytime mine sits for more than 5 minutes idling, it automatically goes into high idle mode at 950 RPM. its usually sitting at 500. To enter high idle mode, put it in park, don't touch anything including the brakes. I don't know if the dealer did it before I got it or not. But its nice...

add a bigger compressor wheel and you will be much happier. Mine has been behaving well since I deleted everything. There definitely is a formula for making the engine good. EGR Delete Coolant Filter Upgrade the Oil Cooler Update HPOP Fitting Update the Dummy Plugs Drive it like you stole it...

    Diesel Mechanical Fuel pump rebuilding?

Cool. Seems like no one can do a Mercedes pump so far. Bakers and Goff are out.

    Diesel Mechanical Fuel pump rebuilding?

I don't think Bakers can calibrate a pump, but I'll call. I've had them do some stuff to my Powerstroke. I like them.

    Diesel Mechanical Fuel pump rebuilding?

Where is a good place to have a Diesel (Bosch) fuel pump set up? I'm putting bigger Elements in mine going from 5.5mm to 8mm. I need to get the pump calibrated after I switch them out.
