New and improved New Member night run - March 11th (Updated)

Very nice. Looks like I'll have some fun out there this summer. Now if I can only get a raise so I can afford to link my rig and use my FZJ-80 axles... then I'll have a LOT of fun.

:D Fair enough. Wish I was bringing my Toy, low gears and 39's make short work of most trails.

I'd like to be in the first group as would my friend Ian. He has enough seat time that I don't think he'd slow us down at all and I have more than enough seat time for how this trail sounds. I'd be glad to help people air down (I should be able to find a core puller or two) and help in any way...

New and improved New Member night run - March 11th (Updated)

You can count on me coming with my GF. I doubt I'll have my truck registered and Utah road worthy by then so I think we'll take her XJ with a 3" lift and 31's. We'll most likely do part 1 and 2 if that's ok. I've got a few years of wheeling under my belt (although little seat time in her jeep)...

Not so much club, but of the RME regulars. I'm new to Ut so I don't know anyone. :D Yes we'd like to do Rattlesnake IF it's not too much to ask of her cherokee. I fabbed up some basic rock sliders and threw together a 3" lift with 31's. It's a very mildly built vehicle (I'm used to wheeling...

So part 2 where everyone runs Rattlesnake, will experienced drivers that haven't done anything with the club be able to run it or will we have to ride with someone? How difficult is rattlesnake? Can an XJ with 31's make it? My truck isn't street legal yet so if I come it will be in the GF's...

I'm interested on going. Won't be able to bring my toy because it's up in willard, I don't have a tow rig or trailer and isn't registered yet. :-\ I'm trying to convince my girlfriend that it's a "date" so she'll bring her cherokee. :D Not sure if she'd want to do part 2 or not so depending...

    axle strength

Should be the same e-locker V6 based diff with a wider housing but other than that not much different than pre 05' Taco rears.

    axle strength

The non - elocker, tacoma, T100 and early Tundra diff's are typically called 8.4" diffs but have the same basic 8" diameter ring gear. All toy rear axle shafts are similar in strength. The 8.4 has a much larger pinion shaft and head and they also have a carrier girdle that stiffens up the 3rd...

Give me advice on getting my truck registered

I moved up to Sandy to take a job with a college buddy of mine. I do IT for the Canyons School District. I'm down for wheeling as soon as I get my rig registered. I took a four hour detour on the way back from Vegas this weekend so I could go on the maiden voyage of my buddy David's jeep. I...

Give me advice on getting my truck registered

I have a "2nd residence" up north where there are no emissions requirements. A friend of mine up there drives a complete POS that's falling apart and he passed inspection so I might register up there. :D

Give me advice on getting my truck registered

26" on the 39's with full street pressure. On 35's it shouldn't be an issue, if anything I can borrow my buddies 235's on stock wheels to get it to pass safety. Anyone know the GVWR of a 93' Toyota std cab? The law states under 4500lbs is 24" lift, 4500 - 7499 is 26" and above 7500 is 28"...

Give me advice on getting my truck registered

So I looked at the state requirements. Do they really check to make sure the speedo functions? My speedo gears are stripped and I don't really feel like spending $$$ to fix it. :D Same with my window washers. My res is currently cracked and that IS something I want to fix. Anyone recommend a...

Give me advice on getting my truck registered

That's the thing, the truck is very clean, mechanically in great shape, and I have 15x7 3 3/4" bs wheels and 35's that I drive around on the street and STILL get hassled in UT. I'll actually be working with Eric Westover this summer up in ID to tube out the rear, rework the suspension front...
