    EcoBoost

Most people don't realize that the ecoboost is either/or. It makes power if you want it, but you will never mistake it for a Prius while doing so. Dragging my 26' trailer (fully loaded I'm a little north of 8k lbs) up the Uinta's @ 65mph, my round trip mpg is 8.5-9 But with that load it will...

Ford Need to do a rear pinion seal on a 99 Ranger, Educate me please

Choc, Thanks for the input I've read a little about using an inch-lb torque wrench to "measure" the original torque to move the diff minus wheels, but that seems to assume what I have is correct. I've also read that I could mark the location of the pinion nut and return it to the original...

Ford Need to do a rear pinion seal on a 99 Ranger, Educate me please

Looking for pointers.. I read that the torque of the pinion nut pre-loads the gears. Professional work is not in the budget and I'm a fairly astute guy, so is this a do-it-yourself, or do I just keep adding oil? 1999 ext. cab 4x4 4.0L

What does this do/ It should be in every emergency tool box

Apologies Kurt, I tend to spout quotes from movies that pop into my head. (bonus points if you can name the movie) My inexperience on the trail is showing and I just thought it was such a neat tool that took up so little space and could save my bacon one day. -Eric
