    Yeah even grinding the bottom will work. I was going to say earlier......(In the case of shaving it) you can put the 1/2" plate on the bottom and overlap it over the cover mounting surface, so you can't peel the cover back anymore and start a leak of fluid. I doubt the two or so bottom cover...

    Body mount/lift material?

    If you want to do regular rubber body mounts with a custom size body lift spacer on top of that, you can go to Commercial Plastics on 500 W and about 3500 So in SLC and get a length of Delrin (hard plastic) in whatever diameter you want. I believe they can cut it into 'pucks' and even drill it...
