    Axle splining in your garage

Carl Jantz is a mad genius. Anyone who figures out how to stick bigger gears in a smaller axle or axle tapering for more twist has more brains than me.

450lbs? I dunno about that. Felt heavier when we picked it up on the side of that mountain in the Swell ;) I thought KTM says they're 507lbs? You should get a bike. It's much cheaper than therapy.

    Shop air purification

My photo is with the man door open even! I don't want to hurt my lungs. I used to do this crap without a respirator or ear protection when I was like 23. I'm smarter now and want to live to be as old as @jackjoh !

YEARS AGO I welded a inner safety bead on a set of 16.5s with 1/8" cold rolled, the first one I used 3/16". It was a bear to mount so I took it to Tito's tires. They got it mounted and they never ever came off again. It took a sawzall to dismount one when I cut a sidewall. I flap wheeled that...

Keep your solid steel wheels. Weld a headlock ring on, gain an inch. Cheap and easy. Still a number of 15" tires still available in the 33-35" range.

I cut into the outer sleeves with a reciprocating saw and then fold the shell in with a cold chisel enough to make a lip so I can use the press and a big socket.
