I say either hack/tap or AA. I make fun of hack an tap....but they work. Ang's XJ had tom woods kit, basically a hack/tap cut off in a lathe;) It held up fine and I bet thats what I will use on the KJ too....

I have had good interactions with Sportsmobile. They seem like a good company. They are aslo doing their own 4x4 conversions now. The on they had at the OR show had a prorock 60 frt and an Atlas!.

Both are good axles....My opinion tips to 14b for the pocket bearing.... The shock load has to go somewhere, and with a suspension that does not allow wrap (4 link/tractionbar/etc) it is ussually the pinion that deflects/climbs the ring gear.... The pocket bearing is one of the biggest reason...

There are dually conversion available for toy axles....or find one of the toy motorhomes in a wrecking yard.

Just wondering if any one has one? 10x20's all seem about the same size and they only give the over all hieght. Just wondering if someone could measure the hieght of the "door" opening? Thanks Marc

Sorry, a little late, but.... From my expeirence and observations, I would not use any thing smaller than 1" on the lowers and 7/8" for uppers(prefer 1"). Personally I run 1 1/4" upper and lower on my rear. With heims, you definately get what you pay for. The "economy" series will wear VERY...

For "offroad use only" it can be patched. But you will have a hard time finding a shop that is willing to do it. I have been told it is illegal to run any tire (single wheel) on the road that has a side wall patch.

I would say 4.56 is a good choice....I ran 4.10's with 33's and wished for a little lower, but it was nice to be able to cruise at 80mph
