    tow rig tires

I have run BFG All-Terrians on my Montero Sport with great luck with them (about 80K), but that is a very different vehicle than my truck. On the Dodge I don't need a real agressive tread but do some off-road, including while pulling the horse trailer (like I said with all the horses runs...

    tow rig tires

I know we have had this discussion before, but tires change and people have different expereinces so am going to do it again. It is about time to once more buy tires for my Ram 2500 CTD Quad Cab. Currently running Cooper Discoverer ATRs. Have had them for 2 years, about 45k miles I think...

    Towing with a GCherokee question

My dad used to tow 22' boats on occasion behind his 4.0 GC, usually from the dealer in Salt Lake to East Canyon for demos. I road with him once pulling to Flaming Gorge. Did not feel like a very safe ride to me, although power etc did ok. He did kill his engine with under 100k on it (can't...

    Wolves in Utah

I think we would be very hard pressed to find cases of a human killed or even attacked by wolves.

Northern Region deer- Pilot Mtn area?

I guess Pilot Mtn is mostly Nevada, right? Silver Island Mtns area is a better term for what I was thinking.

Northern Region deer- Pilot Mtn area?

Some of you may recall my earlier posts about my son and I drawing different regions. As a result, most my hunt time will be spent helping him in NE, while I try to sneak in a little time here and there on northern. Some of the closer northern region areas to home (Grantsville) may be...

    Wolves in Utah

For clarification, is that the Sheep Creek the photo/sightings are from? If so, then yes AF Canyon would make sense.

    Wolves in Utah

Interesting thread, to put it kindly. On the track in the photo, certainly could be wolf but proof being that is it "one inch larger than any dog" is non-sense. In my work I see some pretty dang big dogs, with feet sized to match. The wolf is a large canine, but not some supper-sized beast...

    Wolves in Utah

I would be very intersted to see proof of worlf/coyote crosses. Actually, just proof of an ongoing wolf population in that area would be interesting to see proof of. In my opinion, the entire wolf issue is way to emotional on both sides. The anti-hunting/pro-wolf crowd needs to recognize...

    Photo Advice and Fishing

I get better sky-colors in my photos if I am careful to have sky in the center of the frame so it is read by the light meter. Otherwise I have the exact same problem of over exposure of the sky. I really like the photo on left and the black and white.

    Wolves in Utah

It is worth noting that northern Utah is in the area delisted by congress earlier this year. Utah has also drawn up wolf management plans. link to wolf management plan: http://wildlife.utah.gov/wolf/wolf_management_plan.pdf legislation passed into law in Utah in 2010...

    V10s & big block V8s

All about what I expected. For our tow rig I like my CTD. We get 20-21 empty, 17 towing the boat (between 5-6K pounds) and got about 11 last week hauling three horses (total weight in the 9K range to Salina and back. Need to find a good deal now on a half-ton!

    V10s & big block V8s

The V10s, 460s, 454 etc are all overkill as far as the power I need in a truck (since I already of my Dodge diesel) but a lot of them are floating around at decent prices. Any real world comments on fuel use with any of them? Obviously we know it can't be good, but....
