    Tires...yet again

Odd tread life. I got about 80K on my first set of BFGs on the Montero, so went back to them after only getting about 45K off Cooper Discoverer STs. Since it is no longer my daily driver, the ones I put on last year should be the last set I suppose. On my Ram CDT got 45K with Discoverer...

    Tires...yet again

Over time this could be an intersting thread for updates. In the last 2 months or less I have put Hankook Dynapro ATMs on my Ram CTD and Yokahama Geolander ATS on my Chevy ($2,000 out the wallet very quickly...) I'll know in a couple of years how good of choices I made.

    02 1500 Silverado

Quick question as a new Chevy owner (last Chevy truck I owned was a 1948.) With an 02 1500 extended cab, stock, what is largest tire that will fit trouble free? It currently has 265/75R16s, and I think orginally came with 245/75s. Other info I have gathered points to 285/75R16 being...

    Tires...yet again

Interest discussion yet again. I have not heard much good on tread wear on the Falkens, but good to hear some first had knowledge. FYI on those Discount Tire qouted me (using their web site) about $750 for set of 4 out the door on 265/70R17 load range E. That was for their all-terrian...

how many miles are too many?

Jack hints at an inportant point- it all depends on what job you want it to do. I was happy to relieve my MS from being my daily driver as now that it is at 180K. It should last a heck of a lot longer (mechanically at least) with the 5 miles per day my daughter drives compared to the 85 I do...

how many miles are too many?

In my mind that is exactly why I don't like high miles!

    tires

Ended up buying new set Hankooks for the Dodge. Still keeping an eye out for a set of 265/75R16 for the Chevy, however.

If you can't find deer, then fish

I can't take too much credit. I fish with a good friend who just happens to be a fishing guide!

If you can't find deer, then fish

This year's deer hunt did not go great- only 2 does seen in my region while hunting (although I could have taken 3 different bucks while hunting with my son in his region!). We did get some fishing in at Flaming Gorge again, however that went pretty darn well! Our Tuesday evening last week...

    tires

Still looking! Realized also had a typo in the first post. The Dodge is running 265/70R17s, not 285s. If full set, will consider different sizes on either rig including different rim size if part of the set.

    This years buck

Good job! I never even saw a northern region buck....and could not get my son into position for the NE region ones I saw.

Which one would you buy and why?

Just to stir the pot....I have loved my Mitubishi. But certainly much more difficult to build anywhere near as capable as the plumb GC.

    tires

Wanting to stall buying new tires for both trucks, but neither one are in the best of shape. Some decent used tires that could get me 9-12 months of so would be great. My recently purchased '02 Chevy half ton in running 265/75R16s. 2 tires would do the trick. The 05 Dodge 2500 CTD runs...
