    Seat Concepts

I didn’t want to comment on my Acerbis seat until i had some hours on it. ; You can see my riding partner has the Seat Concepts Comfort. I didn’t have time to wait before our trip, so I ordered the Acerbis X-seat. Turns out it is not half bad. We’ve ridden 500-ish miles on it so far and I’m...

Bike tank needed - long shot

So I have this tank; I’m not 100% sure what it was intended for. It came on a bike I bought years ago that was sorta customized- it was a CR125 chassis (‘96) with an XR200 motor. The guy that sold it me said this tank came off of an old Yamaha XT. If you can use it - it’s yours.

I try to avoid the ones with one boob.

Topic of Discussion What ONE 4x4 trail have you wanted to run, but never have or will be able to?

It’s still possible, but I’ve never made it to HITR or finished the Rubicon. Surprise Canyon was definitely the raddest back in the day. I was fortunate enough to have run the entirety of Moab Rim back before they closed a portion of it under the WSA. Not sure many remember that it was longer.

I used to get the occasional flare up. Prescribed Allopurinol and the whole bit. It went away with a major diet upgrade. If it does flare up I’ve found that liquid “Cherry Tart” extract does wonders for relieving it.

General Tech What did you work on Today?

My daughter’s ‘69-‘71 Jeepster Commando has been sitting for a few years. Decided to get it sorted a bit so she can use it again for her birthday. Old fuel had varnished up the external fuel pump, which never was that reliable - so I decided to install an in tank and fix the fuel gauge while we...

Wanted Wanted Early Jeep Saginaw Power Steering Box

My hope was to avoid a newer box as i would need to adapt the hoses to metric and the input shaft size is different. I appreciate the offer! I decided to try a JBWeld fix. Probably not the best, but it will be an interesting experiment. After some sanding: I sanded it much finer than...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Nothing quite like installing gears in an AAM11.5 without a lift. Good exercise I suppose. I’m on the 3rd shim change. Glad I bought a setup bearing! Hopefully I can get to final assembly before it gets over 90F.
