General Tech What did you work on Today?

Helping out on setting up wife’s 2-dr JL by building a sleeping platform. (Yes, she is short enough!) Hinged back allows her to get to her cooler, tools and recovery gear. 2x4 frame is u-bolted to the rear seat mounts using wing nuts so it can all be pulled back out in just a few minutes.

Selling vehicle. Leave Warn 8274 on or remove before sell?

Yeah. It’s crazy. I remember buying a brand new one 25+ years ago for like $550. I watched that one drive off and I’m still not over it!! 😆

Selling vehicle. Leave Warn 8274 on or remove before sell?

Curious what the consensus here is on the value an 8724 adds versus the cost to replace in the future. Will a potential buyer value it enough to leave it on or is it a wash? Or is the gain less than the replacement cost?? What say ye oh wise wonderful wizards of Warns??

Five hundred dollah dump truck now has 2-pot master cylinder and a 7” booster on the firewall! 😀 I took a Swag and ordered a $59 firewall pedal bracket and it bolted up like it was made for it. The chrome pedal might be too gawdy for this hawg feeder... Just need to remove the stock...

    School Me On 4-Door Wranglers

Btw- the 2.0L turbo can be found without the electric generator and battery. Our ‘20 JL has the 2.0L turbo and 8-speed without the extra complications and weight of those systems. I’m fairly impressed with the power and it’s getting around 25mpg with 32” tires.

Me too. I’ve called this exact store in the past about the tires on my M101 trailer and they said no. I actually bought a new axle for it and put some standard Chevy 6-lug wheels on it.

Les Schwab come through for the $500 dump truck. One of the 6 tires was cracking like the surface of a desert lake in August. BTW- they were one of the few tire places that knew the difference between a split RING and a split rim. They had no issue mounting this up on a split ring. When I did...

Wheel size for beadlocks & alternatives discussion.

Interesting results from this change - I expected the wife to complain about it not handling as well. She likes it better than before; says the steering is more precise and easier to manage. I expected some vibration or bounce because I didn’t balance or use any beads. She took it up to 65mph...
