    Death Wobble Ram 2500

Dealer gave us the TSB number, but said they can not give us a copy of the actual TSB.

    Death Wobble Ram 2500

Anyone know of a source for the Dodge Technical Service Bulletines? On-line searches refer to discussions about them, but not able to find an actual copy. After TSB 22-005-06

    Death Wobble Ram 2500

Correct that the steering recall is not death wobble related.

    Death Wobble Ram 2500

FYI, tires are Cooper Discoverer ATRs, less than one year old, good condition and rotation and rebalanced recently.

    Death Wobble Ram 2500

Exactly. And to clarify to those with comments made with completely good intentions, this is certainly not a tire balance issue. I am familiar with poorly balanced tires and there is a huge difference than that and the death wobble we were having. Too soon to say for sure, but things...

    Death Wobble Ram 2500

The real issue is that the parts where not worn. Had that confirmed by both independant mechanic and at the dealer. I would not have been surprised had they been, considering the miles and frequent (1-2x week) towing. Bryson, not a maintaince or wear issue. Alignment, tires etc were fine...

    Death Wobble Ram 2500

We had several episodes of "death wobble" in our 2005, Ram 2500 Quad Cab. It is totally stock, about 90k miles. Dealer dealt with the issue via a major overhaul of the front end. Now we are fighting with Chrysler to get re-embursed for the cost of repairs. Searches have shown this to be...

Boy Scout Trip to Forest Lake

Great outing, and good job passing motorized use ideas down to the next generation. I have tossed the idea around in my mind of trying to take our scouts for a week in Moab/Canyonlands and getting in a trail run. Glad to see that it did work out for someone.

Automatic or manual tranny for off-roading?

Good argument for auto. Agreed that a hand throttle would make things much easier!

Automatic or manual tranny for off-roading?

Key point there..."stockish" leads to "if you add a hand throttle". I would doubt that a hand throttle is in the future of the original poster.

Automatic or manual tranny for off-roading?

I find it interesting that those who favor auto talk specifically about its advantage off-road, while those who favor sticks either talk about 'fun' factor, or how much better a driver they must be because they use one. I don't think anyone has clearly stated (other than power in weaker...

    Educate Me on Several Vehicles

May or may not be a good reason for it not to be on your list, but I have like my Mitsubishi Montero Sport. Not a lot of options for off-road mods (but obviously not a big issue since Miata's have even less), but otherwise has been a great SUV. 150K miles and counting on my '03, with repairs...
