There are some very nice bucks now days in the SL/Davis areas. Cousins took a monster near the SL/Davis line on the extended archery, missed out on a larger on.

Surprising. I got near 80k out of set of BFG All-Terrains on my Monty. Unfortunately do not make them in the 255/85 (a 33" tire) so may have to go back to 265/75s (32").

Realized yesterday that new tires are going to be needed for the Montero sooner than expected. Would like to stay with 255/85R16s, which seriously limits my choices. Any thoughts on the BFG Mud-Terrians? Mostly wondering on tread life and traction on packed snow/ice. Any other suggestions?

I'd certainly wonder why the 4runner guys is willing to trade for 'anything 4 wheel drive'. Sounds like he has some reason to want to bail on his own rig.

Absolutely! I grin everytime I look at the pic of my daughter with her fish. I've never ice fished for burbot, hope to give it ago this winter. We catch them just while going after the macs.

Thats what I experienced for years. It is amazing the difference that knowing what you are doing (or at least fishing with someone who does) makes.

My question would be why limit the choice to those two? Depending on level of off-road, there are tons of other choices out there. And many of them can be modified (although with fewer parts options) into about anything you want.
