I swear some people should not be allowed in Moab

I laugh because I am lousy at both spelling and typing!

so Kane Creek is my new favorite Moab trail

That pic is a reminder to stay off the trail when there are storms in the area- even when they are far up-stream. Things can change real fast- they were lucky no one was hurt.

    Where to Fish

The wipers are fun. You also have easy access to Pineview, Echo, East Canyon etc all with in an hours drive from Layton. Also the ponds on west side of Bountiful are another close choice.

so Kane Creek is my new favorite Moab trail

Was the first "real" trail I ran down there- 4 or so years ago in my MS- stock at the time on 32s. Fun trip!

    Family Camping Advice

We start our kids camping young- week in a tent at Lake Powell at 8 months, snowcaves before 2 for our youngest. I agree with keeping things simple- fancy meals don't impress kids and just take up parents time. I would rather be playing with the kids than cooking. Frequent breaks when on...

    backpacking gear recomendations?

Great idea on the wind screen. I too have the 16-18 year old Scouts. A little rough at this point since our ward has never had a leader- trying to re-interest them in scouts (both finishing nearly complete Eagles and the activities & high adventure stuff.) We should have some great things...

    backpacking gear recomendations?

Time for another update. I realized time was never going to allow me to get to the AF store- seems like always running somewhere! But, picked up a used Gregory pack off ebay. Pretty good condition and all reviews on Gergory rave about them. Wearing it now when I walk each night-loaded...

    Aussie lockers

Recently found info that Aussie lockers are now available for Montero Sport....lets hope it is so since only other option has been ARB. Any thoughts on them, good bad or ugly?

Jeep Good Old Lions Back. And the guy who talks to god and asks for angels.

Honestly, don't think Lions Back would ever had made my trail list even if it was still open.

    cooper stt?

I've not run the STT but did run STs. I know the STT are more agressive- not sure if otherwise they are comparable materials etc or not. I did not really care for the STs. Wore quickly and unevenly. Really the only Coopers I have run that I didn't like. Overall I have really liked their...

I swear some people should not be allowed in Moab

First, I can't believe this thread is being updated after almost 4 years... Second, on the Crown Vic....should we all be impressed or depressed that he could make it in that rig! Can't help but wonder if the Geo was stolen, esp the way they quickly took off leaving body parts behind...

    255/85R/16's

I ran 255/86R16s for a while on my MS. Liked the size, but was not happy with the wear/tire life of the Coopers. Thus with my recent set went back to BFG ATs (285/75s).
