I never got around to this. The guy that had done it on his Xterra ran into exhaust issues, as Tacoma has pointed out. He ended up making it a 2 piece system rather than a full belly 1 piece. He retained about 85% coverage and allowed for hot air to get out.

I filmed the whole event in HfreakinD, and have never seen one second of what I filmed! I'm pretty ticked about it.. There is a TON of good HD footage out there, trust me.. Getting it is another thing. Dan, a little help here? ;) -Jason

What he's saying is that you can't just go and purchase a replacement rear quarter panel for a tin top samurai.. It's all one piece. So, cutting out the cancerous section and replacing will be the cheapest/easiest option..

I was going to post yesterday that if it were my rig stuck and I left it for a short time, i'd hope and pray that someone wouldn't post it online with a location. That's just asking for trouble. I know your intentions are/were good, but you have to see how that can turn bad quickly.

I have the SD version.. Paid like $150 on ebay new.. We beat the hell out of it mounted on Rob's 4runner and my Xterra for the BOR desert race last year.. It's an awesome little camera, and the HD version would be that much better. I'd go with the GoPro.. Mounting is very versatile.
