Oh, let me add some installation details so he wont be shocked. He'll need a new rear driveline, but front will work out fine. Also a new cat back exhaust system, which he'll need with any long arm kit. Other than that, no problems. Got mine from some dude on here named Wayne. Best price I've...

My LJ is 5.5 in the rear, 5.5+ a one inch spacer up front to compensate for the winch. DON'T go over 4" on a short arm kit! 22 hours??? Forget about it! :greg: Mine was 40, but I removed all factory mounts, and smoothed the frame so noboby could tell it was a kit (yep, I'm a perfectionist).

    foriegn tapping sound...

Your first post says it's in your "power band" and in all gears. That to my feble mind would eliminate drivetrain issues, and lead me toward the engine. You dont happen to have a header do you? Sounds like an exhaust leak to me.

I just picked one up Friday. 9500TI for $849 delivered. Shop Ebay carefully, and you'll find some decent prices but be cautious. There are some guys asking up to $1300 for the same winch.

    cheap 4 wheel steering

It's not that "I" don't need them, I don't think a trail rig needs them. Yeah, they're kinda cool. but so is full hydo steering, steel shot in the tires, and the hundreds of other mods we can do. Is it required to have a good trail rig? Personally, I'll take my A/C and satelite radio over...

    cheap 4 wheel steering

Oh, I see your point. Popping the trans out of gear, then reaching down and shifting the t case to front drive, grab a brake, do your little front dig, then back out of gear, shift to four low again, trans back in gear, then just punch it! Yup, easy enough....... I'll stick with...

    cheap 4 wheel steering

The park brake route is probably the easiest way to pull this off. You need to be able to run in front drive only, but I don't know what you're running for a transfer case. And this really doesn't work with a spool, but with mechanical lockers it works fine. Personally, why bother? You're...
