Since it's something you're likely going to have to live with, I think I'd fab up some kinda guard. Something like a piece of 3" sch 40 pipe, simular to the cheap chrome ones.

For the time being, you could always spring over, and go the gusseted "Z" link route on the drag link. It's fer sure a patch, but if you're planning a future upgrade, it'll get you by.

A hard top would be simple to stretch out, but not all that cheap. You'd need a donor top, to make up the extra length, and then have custom side windows cut so it's probably sixes on the cost. As far as doing the actual fiberglass work, is easy.

Personally, both mine are natural gas, but you know what a lazy buggar I am. If I can't light it with a remote from my lazyboy, what's the point? :D

Ditto on the wood.... It's pretty tough to come by free pellets, but there's wood to be had durring the year like it's growing on trees... :rofl: Woods a bit more work, but I think you'll be happier in the long run.

I've had PRM do a couple blocks for me in the past. "If" it's the same RPM that used to be in the Decker Lake area, they do quality work for a decent price, but I'm not familiar with that WJ address.

It's been a long time. I cant remeber if it was Toy or Mitsubishi I was doing, but dont you have a mark on the chain that you position on the crank, then roll the engine over to the mark on the cam? Sorry, not much help it's been a few years. :(
