It's a fair price. And it has all the shiny bits if you need them. Plus we could all have 2015's! If I was in your place, I'd spend the money on a rebuild, suspension upgrades and riding more. And lessons so I could beat you. ;)

    My first knife build.

A precut blank. Similar to the top picture and I did some minor reshaping. The blade was pre-ground, that was my main concern doing my first knife was that I might ruin the heat treat. The next one I will buy an uncut billet and try my hand at grinding the blade and heat treat. This one was...

    My first knife build.

Love me some Jimmydiresta. I picked up a bandsaw and table belt/ circular sander with his influence.

    My first knife build.

My first foray into knife building. Wife got me a precut billet to avoid lots of time and money invested into forging and heat treating tools and into something that I didn't know if I'd like, but everything else is all me. I think I'll do a sheath when I get some more free time. Lots and...

My Next Project: 1965 Sunbeam Alpine

90* intake tube... Only hearsay on my end. I've been told if the MAF is too close you get return turbulence from the opening and closing of the butterfly valve on the throttle body and makes tuning an issue. I've heard the rule of thumb for easy tuning is similar distance from the TB as stock.

My Next Project: 1965 Sunbeam Alpine

Gosh I'll bet that was a relief to hear it run. Has to be exciting! Is it going to act weird with the maf or mas or whatever it is that close to the throttle body? Seems like you might have enough room to put a cobra head on it and get the intake on top of a fender.

To tub line or not to tub line?

I used Hippo liner on my last YJ. I really liked the texture, it's quite smooth, I added textured additive on the door sills for antislip and ceramic thermal additive. I did it on the hard top as well and it make it significantly quieter and cooler.

Front axle -----68 Ford 3/4 camper special.

If you're going to run leaves there isn't really any advantage to using a 78-79 Ford 60. The reason they are desirable is the short side is longer and fits a coil bucket easier. In my opinion it's a non issue to run an f350 dana 60 even through the ball joint years. Your leaf spring spacing will...

Front axle -----68 Ford 3/4 camper special.

You can use a Ford Dana 60 or Dana 44 the 3/4 ton 44 will have 8 lug outers already and leaf spring pads so that makes it easier if you plan leaves.

    First gen Tundra

The back seats are terrible. That was a big turn off for Jon when we looked at them. Like can't ride 15 minutes in the back seat bad, and I'm not a huge individual. That being said my friend's dad drove his 200k and he's terrible at maintenance, so they're either pretty reliable, or he's lucky.

    A story worth living

Looks like fun, I'll see if we have plans. That joker is nuts to buy a gs bike and go on a huge adventure ride without any riding experience.

I weighed mine at China freight off California ave. Supposedly accurate to 20lbs. That auto is definitely heavy. Do you have a back seat? I cant imagine my doubler is much less than that.
