Up past Kent Lake and beyond in the Jeep

My wife and I are wanting to go camping down that way the weekend of the 25th. Any idea how much snow?

I am personlly a Ford guy. I would look for a 1990"s f-350 with a 460. Cheap, lots of them out there, reliable, Dana 60 front end. I would stay away from anything with a small motor to try and save fuel. The trade off is not worth it in a work truck.

I think we decided to blow of the family reunion. My wife and I dont have any kids. All of the activities are for kids.

I bought one of those little smittybilt ones and it has been great. I think it was 80 bucks or so.

Just checked lowes website. I was wrong it is cheaper per square foot.

I dont know for sure if that is right. If my menory serves me right 2x10 gets a lot more expensive. I may be wrong. Price it out and see. I agree that the 2x6 would drain better for sure. I would think that the 2x10 would have more of a tendency to twist unless you put a lot of screws in it.

I believe he has done his own machining on the axle. I will chat with him and see.

I have a buddy doing this right now. He has a f150 44 he cut the tubes to length and then machined the tubes down to the right diameter so that they will fit a stock dana 30inner C and knuckle. It will still use the facotry unit bearing also.

Definatly check your auto shut down relay. It is located in the power distrubtion box. Also dont these Jeeps have that pickup module in the distrubuter under the rotor.

I have used the older IR for 5 years. This past winter I traded it for a new Snap On. It was close to 400 bucks. Had it for two maybe three weeks and traded it to the Cornwell guy for a new IR. The best and only impact you will ever buy. I have since bought the 3/8 drive. I really did not think...

Figure out how much lift you need in the front to run the tires you want spring over the rear to match. The Dana 30 in the front is decent. It is plagued with all of the problems of any Ford TTB axle though. I would look into a Dana 30 swap from a Jeep. One website to check out is the ranger...
