My Next Project: 1965 Sunbeam Alpine

That damage sounds like about a 90-120 day long repair to me. If everything goes smoothly.

I am about to buy an electric car (BEV)

Just curious, about how much will the leaf cost you in addition to the money you got out of the Metro? How long will the savings in "fuel economy" take to make up the difference in price of the Leaf?

My Next Project: 1965 Sunbeam Alpine

Lately I literally check RME at least 3 times daily to specifically get an update on this situation. Pins and needles.... Any update? This weekend maybe?

General Tech Jeep/Dodge's ZF 8HP 8 speed automatic transmission

Not sure, theirs were the Rubicons and they weren't really happy with them. He said he will be buying new JL's to slowly phase out the JK's just because people are starting to ask for them and he doesn't want to lose business. But he'd rather use JK's due to the tranny.

General Tech Jeep/Dodge's ZF 8HP 8 speed automatic transmission

I was in Moab this weekend and a friend rented a jeep from Twisted Jeeps down there. I asked how they liked the 8 speed trannies and the tech said that he hates them. For freeway driving, yes. For Moab trails, no. he said they are constantly hunting for the right gear in 4-Lo which makes...

    BROKE DOWN IN MOAB!!!

I was down in Moab this weekend but wasn't online. Were you the group w/ the tacoma driveline issue, the rolled 2nd gen Toyota on fins and things, and the other big rollover? If so, I was in the orange jeep that pulled up just after the 2nd gen rolled. It sounded like that group had SO many...

    Need a range.

I've shot most of the carry guns out there and IMO, the S&W shield is the best carry gun on the market. The G43 is also a great carry gun but I just don't shoot glocks well. The angle of the glock grip is different than most other hanguns so it takes a little getting used to if you shoot other...

My Next Project: 1965 Sunbeam Alpine

@UNSTUCK, If John has paid what the original estimate was, he is 100% entitled to pick up the car. I would get together every scrap of dialogue between you and John and Andy, and compile it into your case against him. If the contract is vague, that could help you. A verbal price is still...

    Car dealers/sales

Doug Smith in AF was great to deal with. I bought my wife's KIA minivan there and they treated us well. I know Brad smith, one of the owners and he made sure we were taken care of. I can get you a number if you want. PM me....

My Next Project: 1965 Sunbeam Alpine

I would 100% schedule to have an officer with you tomorrow. That way, you'll have one to help avoid any drama when he releases the car, or you'll have one to help remove the car if he is still refusing. I would contact an officer and explain everything to him and have John give the go-ahead if...

My Next Project: 1965 Sunbeam Alpine

I'm starting to wonder if the car is even there at all. When was the last time you or somebody with credibility actually saw it? This reminds me of a time when somebody strung me along like this, being super flaky to the point of me getting super mad, and then throwing me some sort of bone to...

After you get the car, what is the RME retaliation plan? We've got to do something. Maybe not burn down the place, but SOMETHING, haha. Who's got some ideas?

    My adventure "tent trailer" build

Awesome! From what I gather, they only made a handful of them and then had ownership issues but are now starting to product them again. I couldn't find much at all in terms of reviews or in-use photos from other owners when I was researching. Have you used yours much?

    My adventure "tent trailer" build

I also fired up my wave 3 catalytic heater. It is a nice unit that I'm definitely excited to have! I put it in the tent in high for about 30 minutes and it definitely took the edge off the 35 degree temps. I imagine it would only warm up more running longer. I'll probably mount this to the front...

    My adventure "tent trailer" build

I got around to installing the LED strips into the trailer today. They turned out pretty nice and the dimmer is great. I installed them on the inside rails of the roof frame. I think they'll be most "out of the way" here, and the adhesive tape stuck well. The "halo" around the roof looks cool...
