Older campers can be a nightmare when it comes to wood rot. I had two and would never but another. Have you thought about a bumper pull trailer? In some cases this is more simple than a camper

Part number 33-186542 fits CJ with 3-4" lift. I bought four of these and these were just a tad long for my front. Worked well in the rear. NEW in the box I paid $150.00+ for the pair, I'll take $120.00
