    My Custom XJ Roof Basket

So I came up with the idea to use some safety cage fencing from work and the maintenance guy got busy. Here is the end result. It is sturdy too.

The New Guys XJ Lift (Continued)

The funnest part is the many hours it takes to remove original bolts and tapers from a 22 year old rig! My wife even started laughing as I would walk around cursing about it taking two hours to remove one bolt.

So the wobble is now fixed. I got the trackbar relocation bracket from Sevens. It moved the wobble to a different area, more dissapointment! So then I replaced the trackbar with a $30 Autozone OEM one...that drastically improved it but I could still force it into DW if I wanted. Then I replaced...

Sorry got busy, but no did nothing with the trackbar. Perhaps a relocation bracket? (Edit: LOL I just saw in my PMs where you tried to sell me one with the springs. I am new and dumb)

So anyone know how much Teraflex charges to diagnose the Death Wobble? I went through the checklist posted several times from cherokeeforums.com. Eventually i will get it worked out...and I got no regrets :D

I don't want to destroy the Wagoneer. Soon I will be looking for a new toy to completely destroy...and destroy my bank account!

The New Guys XJ Lift (Continued)

So I have made a couple threads and wanted to thank everyone for the help. I got quite a bit of advice from many and physical help from a few. When I get my RME stickers i will slap them on with pride. Ended up doing Teraflex Shackles plus 2 additional XJ leaves in the back and Teraflex 2"...

    XJ Rear Leaf Sag

Were XJ Springs identical all the way to 2001? I am thinking that finding the newest one possible and using those as the base set will help when making the pack.

    XJ Rear Leaf Sag

Right now your idea may be in the lead for the rear end. I will have to see if the salvage yards have any springs to get to without killing myself. I got a couple weeks or so to mull it over before I spend another weekend under the Jeep and piss the wife off.

    XJ Rear Leaf Sag

Looking at the rear spring it is definitely fatigued bad. I am going to try and get some ZJ coils for the front. I am going to mull options on how I want to get the rear to 3" without the blocks though.

    XJ Rear Leaf Sag

Yes I used Blocks. Your link there looks interesting. I have the 2" coil spacers on already with some aftermarket shocks. Would the ZJ coils on top of that give me another inch? Then perhaps my best plan would be to look for a method of going for a 3" on back without the blocks.

    XJ Rear Leaf Sag

It appears that after my 2" lift job one spring sags an inch more than the other. Is there a fix for this beyond spring replacement? I think the old driver was a big man!

Cheap 2" XJ body lift in SLC?

Do you have to trim the painted surface of the fendar? I have a nicely painted Wagoneer Limited and it would hurt my feelings to mess with the body presentation.

Cheap 2" XJ body lift in SLC?

Thanks for the help and resistance to openly ridicule. My friend just said get 2" spacers! We put them on this weekend. I will change the front shocks this weekend after I buy front stem eliminators and run out and get an alignment. Until then I will be hunting salvage etc for cheap...
