Not sure...in 98 they added an output speed sensor that previous ones didn't have, also the Trans control module is different between the two...so I'm thinking it wouldn't be a direct bolt-in.

$100... Selling an automatic transmission pulled from a 1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ with 97000 miles. Functioned flawlessly and shifted smoothly when pulled. Includes torque converter and all sensors (both input / output speed sensors, neutral start safety switch, kick down cable, etc). Brand new...

I just pulled one off of my 98 that you can have for free also, it's just taking up space on the garage floor right now. It has a couple dings and some scratches but mounts up just fine and is straight overall. Contact me on here or you can call or text (801)529-5598.
