We will have a crew hanging posters and such along the wasatch front today, so if you see them say hi. Wow only 1 month exactly untill the fun begains.
Here is a run down/update for the festivities; competitors must sign in by 8:30 am, Show N Shine opens to the spectators at 9:00, 10:00 is the flag ceremony and we start immediately after that with the 6 driving events for all 3 classes, the Gauntlet will be ran separately at the end of the day (6pm ish) for anyone that wants to trough in. After the Gauntlet will be the awards ceremony. Through out the day the auto swap meet will be going on along with vendors row and the Show n Shine. There will be some side shows like the Dash for Cash popping up during the day.
Remember this is all non profit, all the money goes back into the Challenge Park and or land use.

so if my rig has a long arm upgrade and hiems on one end then i cant be in the daily driver class?
If you are lic then it will just be a point deduction. I know some kits are selling hiems for street use now. If you can prove that they are DOT aproved then there will be no point detuction.

Any one who registers before May 24th will be put in a drawing for a free room. Registrations will still be accepted after that but you will not be in the room drawing and we will not have time to get you in the program for the spectators to follow. Remember to be in all 7 events is only $50.

scott,
can we start a list of possible spotters?? I would probably be in need of a volunteer spotter. Anyone? anyone? I am trying to get several guys from reno to come compete to. if they do can we spot for each other? meaning.... I run he spots and then vise versa.

Sorry I kinda missed part of this one. I'm sure a few guys or gals may want to lend a hand and be part of one of the teams as a spoter. Feel free to speak up.

1 Day is correct and 9am is correct sort of. Competitors must be in the gate before 9am. The Show N Shine/Engineering event is from 9-10 for Challenge rigs and all day for others. The flag ceremony will signal the start of the driving events at 10am. Around 6pm-ish we will start the Gauntlet. imediently after the Gauntlet is the awards ceremony.
You should not need a snorkel as the deepest water should only be about 2 feet deep, but do prep for splashing water/mud.
The Engineering event is the only non driving event of the Challenge and it is worth a possible 100 points just like the 6 driving events. It consists of two parts; first is how good it looks (judges and crowd count), second is to test for things not tested on the track but are still an important part of a 4X4. The second will give you points for things like; number of passengers, amount of cargo space, enclosed cab, functional trailer hitch and so on, basically the stuff so many of us get rid of to make it better on the trail, but that are still a valuable part of a 4X4.

someone should bring a power washer so we can spray off most of the mud afterwards haha. I hate cleaning mud off
Last year, people were using a fire hose to spray off after going through it. I simply waited until I got home, took my seats and everything out and washed it then. I'm sure the same hose will be available again.

i was also thinking you should have a acceleration and braking category like in the top truck challenge!
This may happen sooner or latter. We are working with SITLA on adding 600 acres to the 4X4 park, if we get it we can add all kinds of stuf including a 1/8 mile drag strip.

Hey anybody looking for a spotter? I might be interested in riding up with someone for the day or whatever to help them out or team etc. Let me know, just don't want to drive my own rig up there.
