easily my favorite grand of all time. not that my opinion is worth anything but i seriously love it.

you've probably seen this thread on pirate but he did an awesome job of tubing it out. yes it's an xj but they're comparable enough for it to be relevant IMO.

pushing the limits xj

do you still have all of the stock dash, heater/aircon etc? i know that stuff is pretty heavy and i've debated tearing mine out

I've decided to start a tube chassis build because the ZJ platform will just take too much work and I'll have to sacrifice quite a bit to get this build where I want it. I just designed a new 4-seater chassis in Bend Tech and will start building this shortly. Current weight of this chassis is sitting at 634 lbs using 2" .120 wall DOM for the entire chassis, at 2" .250 wall DOM for the belly. Should be sitting about 114" wheelbase and plan to run 42" Krawler Reds.

*this is not all the tubing to be used, more gussets will come once the main part of the chassis is built.

After much thought, I've decided to part out this rig in order to fund the new buggy build.

Axles, power train, tires/wheels, seats, body, etc. All of it is going to go (steering is pretty much all I will be keeping). Or I would let the entire thing go as-is whole for $8000. I'm going to start parting it out after Memorial Weekend (my final trip to Moab in this).

As it gets closer to that time I will post up details of everything in the for sale section. Post up if you are interested in anything and we can start working out details.
