Well I did it now!

Have the big, have the slow, had to add a fast to the mix!

Thanks, I have been wanting one for a while, fairly rare car so I had to jump on it.

Here are some specs for the 1999 SS 6spd Convertible

365 produced

Mine is one of the 116 without traction control, and one of 5 with taupe cloth interior

I am not a fan of leather, and 331 had it!

No other '99 is identical.

The good stuff

320hp, 3.42 gears, limited slip rear

Reports list the car at 5.3 sec 0-60 and 103 in the 1/4 mile, with a top speed of 160!

Will get some good mileage reports soon. 1st tank will be bad! But memorial day weekend it will be going to boise and back.

This car is 100% stock other than some gay exhaust tips, and the drop in K&N.

Oh and for the record, skip-shift, sucks A$$!!!

Nice!

I rode in one with a Vortec supercharger... WOW. I am not mature enough to own a car like that :D

Maybe it only applies to the Pontiac's but do you know what the WS6 package included? There was a guy in a Camaro car club locally that had one and he was always pimping the "WS6" but I never knew what that meant

Found another cheap mod to do...

Headlights give you the option of low beams with driving lights, or high beams only.

I will be adding a relay to trigger the lows and driving lights while the highs are on.

Both our 99 and 97 trucks are already wired this way.

I once went from twin falls to boise in a 95 camaro SS in 60 minutes with some friends. Its 128 miles. My job was watching the radar detector.

Got the fog lights fixed! There was a trigger wire going from the high beams to the fog light relay that shut them off, a quick snip of the wire, then hook to ground, and i have fog lights any time the park, low, or high beams are on. I love 5 minute fixes!

Well it was easier to wire in the low and high beams than I thought.

I found that the only difference between the camaro and firebird headlights (firebird has 4 lights on when in high) is a jumper wire between 2 wires.

A quick connector, and good to go.
