The specs only show the 250 being 9 pounds lighter than its 450 brother. Am I missing something else that makes it feel so much lighter? For 9 pounds I'll take the extra ponies
No, but to me it's easier to ride faster w/o feeling like it'll get too far out of control. I understand the chassis is smaller, making it easier to toss around and control when the riding gets really rough. Usually in a bad situation where I'm about to drop the bike, I can step off it and keep it from dropping. May not sound like it makes sense, but I feel decently fast on it and I'm not fighting the bike in the big rocks which is where I like to ride.
For my size & weight I should be on a 450, but this big bore 250 feels pretty good to me.
