I vote for having it on not-Memorial Day one of these years, since there's always so many other things going on that weekend.

Friday again? Nevermid, count me out. It'll be over about the time I could hit town.
Friday worked well for people because they were able to roll into Moab somewhat leisurely, eat some good food and have a good time then have the rest of the weekend for good 4 wheeling.
Before last year, we did Saturday night's but a lot of people were getting stuck on the trails later than they thought and missed out on the bbq. And/or they had to pick a short trail or leave the trail early to make it in time. That's lame. I'd rather wheel the rest of the weekend without having to commit to anything else.
That's the reasoning behind it, in case anybody was wondering.

I agree, I didn't think Friday was a good way to go at first. But it was really cool meeting everyone and hanging out before we got started.

Well, just talked to the wife and since it is my birthday on saturday that weekend we get to come. Bless the Air Force for giving us a 4 day weekend every year for memorial day weekend. Looking forward to some good food, meeting some new people and finally getting to wheel Moab.
