No, I'm asking you. I'm quite certain Boyce understands that you would gain lift (all things remaining the same), but you seem to think you lose lift. I'm curious how.

If you want to bring tech, here is your chance. How do you lose an inch of lift when you go from a 44 to a 60?

Dont be lazy oh intimidated one:) Call them yourself.

I'm not lazy. I know the answer. I'm just curious what in your head is preventing you from knowing the answer.

I can think of a situation that you would lose at 1/2" of lift, plus whatever the difference in spring perch height is, plus the thickness of any caster-correcting wedges that are used. Could be 1" total loss in some circumstances.

Carry on.

This brings back memories when me and another truck driver got in an argument over the real reason why the civil war was declared.

I don't know why but this just makes me think of Cletus from the Simpsons arguing with his Kin.

Carry on

holy hell this thread is still going? i for one don't like tech manuals, they are as useless as autozone employees trying to help you find a part.. i would rather ask fellow rmer's on here cause chances are they know what they are talking about plus they can teach you how to do it a better way that is faster then what a tech manual says... for example why should i remove motor mounts and other parts if there is a easier way of doing it? i have been a member on this site for quite some time and yes they do piss you of but thats normal. once you understand that tacoma and cody are just joking around, you get used to it. if you cant take a joke then you might as well just not post anything.. chances are someone will joke with you when you dont know they are just joking! (oh and i have low post counts cause i use the search engine)

So, I have a Ford 9" rear, Dana 44 front, am I going to lose or gain lift by swapping to Dana 60s at both ends?

Don't ask him questions that wikipidia can't asnwer. If you do, he'll just give you the phone number to Boyce.

I would be willing to be that Boyce wouldn't be too pleased to have their name associated with this ass-hattery.

He had a good question. I gave him the number to the best person that could answer his question. Infact at least by him calling and asking, he won't get flamed from Boyce like he would here.... Boyce is willing to answer any question. No matter how stupid of a question. Annnnddddd they won't try to make him look bad or talk crap. They are 100% true pros!
