Damn no love for IH

No, just didn't notice it. How do you like your Skyjackers, and do you remember what you paid for them? I picked up my new 73 SII today and ALL of the spring bushings are gone. The front d side pack has a broken center pin and the springs have come apart. I figure I can buy new bushings and have AAA springs re-wrap the pack or buy new springs w/ bushings included. I'm trying to not drop too much money in it now. My plans seem to keep changing on exactly how much "modifying" I want to do w/ this one.
Thanks, Brad J

I actually love the Scout. That will be my next project vehicle. Nice rig..

What problem areas have you found with the Scout?

:D Sounds good I can bring up some OBA stuff. SOA is my plan down the road but I have to wait till my 70 Scout is done and the funds are there also. I keep thinking it would be nice to have a decent street Scout and another trail Scout:greg: I'll give you a call.

Thanks, Brad J

Scouts are the best. If you want a rock crawling Scout you should get an 80/800 or be prepared to cut off the rear end of the Scout II to make it a little shorter. Or just be prepared to drag the rear end on some stuff. I like the wheelbase, power, and ruggedness. A good Scout will never fail on you, but they do take plenty of maintenance time if you're going to wheel them very hard.

Here's my '72 up AF Canyon last year.

By the way, that's mud not rust. There are two types of Scouts. Some Scouts are rusty, and some have already been bondo'd.

Running a Q-jet with a impco 300a with a impco model L. Going to a model E when the 383 goes in. I seen another computer die, this one died on the Coyote Trail in Moab, Glad I went with the Propane...
