Well, now that my tow rig is done, I can start concentrating on this again. I ended up ordering Tim's seat mounts and decided to redo my mounts and floor bars. I want to keep this buggy light, so removing some of the tubing in there will help.

I also just ordered my reach bench seat from PRP.

I want this thing on the trail by early spring if not sooner. Time to get to work.

See, I'm working on it. 10min with a cutoff wheel and BFH.

DS header rerouted.

The front tube really hindered the amount of foot room I have in this chassis.
Here is a pic of it. The tube on the far left was rerouted.

So, I cut it out which added another 2" of foot room on the DS. This was absolutely necessary as fitting size 13s in there would have been impossible without it.

new tube:

So, here is just an FYI for anyone wanting to run JT's (justdifferentials) solid pinion spacer on their 9.5" 3rds:

****Make sure you measure your crush sleeve to ensure you get the correct solid spacer. ***

They sell two spacers. One for 90 and earlier rigs with a measurement of 2.170" and for 91+ years that are 2.090".

Well, both of my 3rds came out of FJ62s. Both are 4.10s and they both came out of FRONT axles. Well, I ordered the correct spacers off their website for 90 and older rigs, and neither one will work. They are too long. So, evidently I need the later model ones. At first they claimed that I "must have FJ-80 3rds". Well, no that isn't possible considering they came out of FRONT axles. Then, they claim that only .1% of 3rds would use the other spacer and that 99.9% of them use the 90 and older spacer. Some BS about variances in each 3rd member. I'm still not buying it.

But, I guess I must have TWO of the ".1% of 3rds in the country".

Anyway, for those guys running FJ60 3rds, just order the shorter solid pinion spacer to play it safe.

I went ahead and set the front 3rd up with a crush sleeve and will tear it down to put in the correct solid spacer when it shows up.

Got the radiator mount mocked up. also got the brake pedal/master assembly tacked in. The Ruff Stuff HID aren't going to fit anymore unforunately, but I should have just enough room for some Hella 500s

Rory at RADesigns built up my new Winters Shifter with his shift kit for the A340.

I just got this in today. Now I can start mocking up the dash and console system for this.
