That looks a lot more hopeful than I thought it would be. I'm glad they are keeping it close for a bit even if it does look dry. Once you get in the trees, it's going to be a sloppy mess right now.

Some of the local bike guys (motoutah) are doing a service project on the single track there on Saturday. One of them hiked it earlier this week and got about a 1/4 mile before snow. They are working on the s-turn at the bottom.

Thanks for the heads up Kurt, I'm going to try to make that.

I just talked to the PG ranger station. They said that UDOT is trying to get the alpine loop road open by mid June. When I asked about any of the dirt trails, she said at least a few weeks due to snow and rock falls.

So is anyone going to Rattle Snake Sunday? I've been watching videos on youtube and it looks like fun.

You're almost guaranteed to run into other 4x4'ers almost any weekend. If you can't find someone to go with, just head out and tag along with the first friendly group you find.

Well decided to venture up AF canyon yesterday as did alot of other wheelers. Lots of water and mud in some places. I made it up to the rock garden but the runner decided to crap out on me in the middle of it :ugh:

It has been like 2 years since i have been up and man how it has changed still love it though still a nice place to go IMO heres a pic of the garden

jmaxj, I was up there in the green toyota with the white star. Did you get the steering box replaced and get out of the trail okay?

Hey, I was up there too with two other TJ's. The steering box crapping out on that XJ could not have been a fun fix at all. I feel bad for that guy.

It was only what, 15-20 mins out, and 20-30 mins back in? I ran him into town to get a new box and all the way back up and I was home in Riverton by 7. Not bad at all.
