She will be out of the hospital in a few days. Angie will be returning to either SLRegional LTAC Unit or to Crosslands Rehab. She is sticking her tongue out at me and giving dirty looks also. She not fully speaking yet but can partially say " I love you ". It comes out garbled but you hear some of the words/letters. Angie is also starting to move her head and arms more. Still no POR salute from her.

Actually now Angie has had a step or two back. Sunday she was very sleepy all day and today her mom can not get her to wake up. Soooo that means we have a problem with the shunt drain in her brain. Too little or too much pressure can cause her to sleep all the time. The neuro docs were alerted and I'm now waiting to see what they come up with. Angies mom is with her today to keep me informed, glad I'm only 15 mins away.

Dude... you guys SO need a break. Keep us posted.
On a completely random side note, what is that scary thing in your avatar, and what is it saying?

AMEN!!

OK it seems that Angie was getting a new anti-seizure med Dialatine (makes you sleepy tilll you adjust to it) and is squeezing mom's hands. She will be transfered back to Crosslands Rehab in the next day or two.

Side note: I picked that avatar many moons ago here. Herzog the creative genius did the animation. Not sure what he's saying. It's either " Bite me " or " Oh whatever". I think you need it for yours.

Angie was brought home to her mom's house last night. We couldn't get her into any rehab/care centers for several reasons. Angie is at a point were it is up to her as to which way she goe's. She is very happy to be "home" and out of the hospital. Her mom is taking care of her 24/7 along with help from family and friends. We're hoping for a rebound out her, but truely her chances are slim for this. She has defied death numerous times in the last year so who knows. I just wanted to be up front with people here. Every bit of the money from this is going to her medical bills and needs. I have been able to almost pay off everything 100% so far with the money donated and my income tax return. Angie has about $8,000 in bills right now. Thanks again to everyone here for their support. I will be doing updates on the amount raised later tonight.

Glad to hear she is 'home'. Hospitals suck and while they are there to help get you better, once you have been in them for as long as she has, it might be working against you - ie depression, and in everyone, not just Angie. So maybe the home thing will help everyone look at things differently, in a more positive light, and things will improve. Not just for everyone health sake, but for your wallets, too.

Thanks guys! Angie feels that she will get better here at mom's house. She's doing pretty good. We're adapting to the new setup with a few minor glitches.

I was just visiting Angie. She was squeezing my hand to answer questions. Her skin color was the best I have seen in a while. Her eyes were bright and responsive.

Goood luck Myself and my family wish we could do more...Hopefully my small donations will do something to help!

Thanks! Just added 2 T-Max EW2300 ATV winches today!! Also Angie is doing very well at her mom's house. She has been very stable and is showing some progress. I've spent over $200 on medical supplies in the last week from Scenic Medical. Her mom has to suction her several times a day, but this is happening less over time. Angie is getting some therapy but the insurance will only pay for three visits from the different therapists. Her mom brings her out of her room everyday and puts her on the couch or on the reclining chair. The kids get to she her just about everyday now, which is good for everyone.

Again I want to say thanks to everyone that has helped out one way or another with this.
Joe
