Another pipe I’ve been looking into is made by Scalvini. I really want to like this pipe because it’s tucked way up high like a 4-stroke pipe. The power gain seems to be more broad and my bike could use a bit more top end pep. Downside to these is that there isn’t much feedback on the internet for the Xtrainer. I’m also curious how thin the metal cones would be.


What do you think of this power curve??

I went out on a limb today and ordered up this pipe. Now that my suspension isn’t my weak link, I decided the bike could handle an extra boost!

Now that Brian has a blue Xtrainer I had to be sure I could outrun him. ha ha

Yeah being couped up in a hospital room for days will make you find entertaient via debit card...

I got it through MotoSupply where I’ve gotten all my other Beta parts. The nice things is it ships fast from Sparks, NV but they usually take a few days to even print the shipping label.

I finally install got the desert tank and Scalvini pipe installed.

As usual IMS tanks fit like total crap. The design is good, but the quality is poor. A couple of the threaded inserts don’t line up with the shrouds, the brackets don’t fit right, and now the seat is a royal pain to slip on and off.

The Scalvini pipe is a true work of art! Unfortunately it didn’t quite fit either. With it installed the pipe pressed on the water pump outlet Stratton helped me bend the pipe and fab some new mounts to make clearance from the radiator hose. I also had to cut up my radiator guards to make room for the pipes higher and tighter curves.

I rode it today, It is a whole new bike. Very fun.

I finally got them all installed last night. The fit was fairly good, but they all seemed a bit long. I love the new look though!

I noticed that I messed up my number. I ordered them with the ‘V’ in front of my letters instead of behind them. Is that going to be a problem? (V199 instead of 199V)

The graphics are from an Australian company called SK designs. It was t their fault, I typed it in the order sheet that way. I just hope it’s ok to use at the races like that, because both side numbers are split between two different stickers.
I really like how they turned out! And they got here in like 4 days from Australia!
