Flying dog is fun! But the lower part can get really hot in the afternoon espiaclly in the summer. But it gets more shaded near the top. I did it from the Jermey Ranch side.

I havent ridden flying dog. whats it like?
I did the big loop which includes some of Glen Wild. 14 miles and 2300 ft of climbing. I also started from Jeremy Ranch. It's the south facing slope so mostly oak brush with some aspens at the top. Not a bad ride, kind of like corner canyon only much cooler temps because of the elevation. It was 62 there at noon on Tuesday.

No way clockwise is the way to run it. I rode it counter clockwise once and I thought my heart was going to explode on the climb on the north end of the loop

Ya thought that part would suck ccw but every single person I encountered was going ccw. And I know I'm not fast enough that no one caught me going cw.

Foxnroxshuttle.com has free Crest shuttles from SLC now until the snow hits. I just booked three spots for @dutchman, Ian, and myself this Saturday at 1130. There's five spots left if anyone wants to join us, discount code foxnrox202018.

We're going to be at Sundance on Friday, and then camping somewhere in the desert that night just because. Open invite to those too, if anyone wants to join us.

Whole enchilada was sickest. Had to bail at UPS due to time restraints and had to get the rental bike back on time, but it was totally awesome. Burro pass is so fun on the way down.

Awesome you had a lady riding with you!
Haha that’s my sister. She’s still learning, but probably rides better than most beginners, she’s been riding trails back home for several months practicing. I feel bad though for her, she wrecked really hard. My brother and I were flying down kokopelli, and she was behind us, I heard her scream and looked back, saw she wiped out cause she was trying to keep up with us. She went down hard, broke the visor off the helmet, scraped her arms and legs bad. But she got up, and biked the 12 miles back to town no problem.

Good for her! Ive seen more people wreck on kokopelli than all the other sections combined. People bomb down that fire road and the speed humps get em.

I usually wreck on hazard county.

Ian freakin' killed Crest today, rode like a boss and cleaned almost everything. Brady tore it up too. I did not kill Crest or even tear it up, but I made it down in one piece so I'm calling that a win.

My goodness what a fun trail though. The weather couldn't have been better and the leaves are just starting to turn.

This is what happens towards the end of a long ride trying to keep up with RME crowd.

It was just a simple mistake a wrong line with big bad results. It was blast meeting new people an finally meeting people from the forum. The ride was very fun up until this point. The bloody arm was the not broken arm but elbow laceration required a couple stitches.

So sad that happened. We were having tons of fun up to that point. Ill post the video here in a few months when it's done. I wish i had made it back in time to film the chopper.
