Mostly just lack of skill... It's nothing new.
Specifically, the trail was packed dirt/dust and U shaped from water running down it. I got too high on the edge and tried to correct but the front tire washed out and I did my best to avoid the root of a downed tree that was threatening to impale me.
I'm slowly learning to look farther ahead on the trail but most importantly, I want a dropper post. If I had leaned the bike instead of turning the wheel I would have been fine but my fixed post forces me to move my butt way back to do it and I didn't have time.
I got some scrapes and bruises which don't bother me much, but I pulled a muscle in my back that is just now starting to mend.
sucks getting old :)

I think Kevin is just bad luck I had to dig a rock out of my knee last time I rode with him. :p

Absolutely. 100% my bad luck that you grabbed a fistful of front brake. :D

You guys are giving me second thoughts about riding with Kevin...

No see, the thing is, I'm slower than a herd of gimpy turtles. I have to sabotage these guys so they don't leave me behind. As long as you're as slow as I am you've got nothing to worry about.

You and i are the same speed then. Ill give it a try. When and where?

I dunno, my next couple days are kinda busy. Whenever we go it probably ought to be something alpine, Corner Canyon and Eagle Mountain are ovens right now.

I've really been wanting to ride Wasatch Crest, but Puke Hill kinda scares me. I'd hate to get to the top with no energy left to enjoy the ride down.

Puke hill only a 20 min hike if you decide to walk the whole thing when coming from the crest side). Wasatch Crest is a great ride. there are even and odd days for bikes on the trail up there. I didnt realize that my first time up there and I ended up riding a trail on a day it was only open to hikers.

There are some really fun loops up af canyon too.

I thought it was just Mill Creek that was odd and even? We could still ride Crest and come down in Park City or Big Cottonwood even on days Mill Creek is closed to bikes, right?

Awesome. Mill creek was super fun to ride.

It's been a while, but I didn't think Puke Hill was all that bad when riding from guardsman. It's stee[er/harder than ann's and most other local trails, but it's totally doable.

Which shuttle did you use? Or did you drive up?
