Yes, coin batteries. Which are expensive, but not if you buy them in bulk like I do. All 4 of us have a lamp that uses the coins so it works for me

For a bivy, I use Borah gear. Got the standard bivy and tarp, which has been a great set up. The bivy breathes a little bit, which helps. If it looks like rain, the super light tarp comes out to rescue.

Here I am camped out on Skyline Dr near Farmington. Just using the bivy though a very light drizzle for ~1hr. Worked well without the tarp.

I really like my borah bivy. They made the size custom for me at no extra charge. REALLY cool guys to work with.

I am really liking it. Similar weight to my Elite, but much brighter.

I just bought this headlamp and tried it over the weekend. It is pretty sweet. Less than 1 ounce with batteries and 40 lumens. It also has a backpack safe switch so it wont turn on in your pack.
