I need mirror parts for an older JK. I thought maybe I could find them in a yard somewhere.

Jeeps with frames rarely make it to the 'yards...

I'd probably try and find a local shop that sells aftermarket mirrors, and see if they have any takeoffs.

Yeah, you're lucky to find YJ's in a self service salvage yard. These are usually picked up by the full service boys and stripped for parts. Car-Part.com is probably the best bet you'll have.
