I haven't seen that before, but it's pretty nifty looking for one-off or small quantity parts. 😎

I emailed the company to see if they would issue rain checks for the "US version" in order to get the $200 off (Black Friday sale), and they emailed me back pretty quick saying that they would. They expect to have the US version in stock on 12 Dec. If you're interested in one, it would pay to message them from their website and ask about the raincheck (sale ends today)

Would love to hear some first hand feedback if somebody here has time to review it when they get it. Seems like a pretty cool setup.

That said, this little guy I've also been watching is a pretty decent price:

Thats my primary issue with the arcdroid, not a whole lot of "real world" reviews. It looks like it is assembled in Hong Kong, versus Canada where the seller is located. The arcdroid also has a limited size, not that that is a big deal for a garage fabricator like me, but still a factor.

My brother in-law has that table and is happy with it for making parts. He’s more into the decorative art making, which he said it isn’t great for. I’m bugging him to sell it to me every chance I get.

That one does look interesting. I like the price too. Any concern for defection on the torch holder?
YES. At least, that's my concern. You'd really have to limit your acceleration to mitigate that I'd imagine, which would negatively impact your cut quality. BUT, it's cheap and smaller than other options, so there's that.

I do like the look of the arcdroid but the price seems high compared to the langmuir. That tracing feature is awesome tho.
I have the langmuir crossfire pro and its really great to have. I do mostly artsy stuff to sell on the side but it's handy to have for fabbing too.

Still waiting for a review of the arcdroid to pop up on RME, anyone got their hands on one yet? @Mouse Black Friday post seemed like he was considering?

Decided to pass due to continued work on building my shop. Thats still the theme for 2023 as construction and a new truck camper has taken my attention

Fast forward a couple years. I finally decided to pick up the Langmuir Crossfire. Got the expansion kit and water table.

I will say, I think I will be ordering the torch height controller. Metal plate just isn't always flat and I ran into an issue today where my manual torch height would get too damn close to the material at the middle. A c-clamp solved the problem for now but made me leave a large edge of waste material. Anyways, so far I love it. Today I did my first cad design then cut for some network camera brackets I'm making to attach to the shop.

Pretty big learning curve but tons of videos out there to get you going in the right directions. I still need to keep learning some of the post process and do more refinements but for what I'm doing I'm more than happy.

Awesome! It never gets old watching mine work. 😎

Closer slat spacing will help prevent tip-ups, if that's something you can change easily.

Torch height control is a must. Piercing at cut height will ruin consumables quickly, you already mentioned steel isn't ever flat, plus clearing previously cut pieces if they have tipped up a bit is nice. Breaking torches is not fun, nor is shifting the sheet in the middle of cuts.
