Axle problem

So i just picked up a dana 44 but it is 8 lug and the ford 9inch i have is 5 lug is there any good easy solutions to fix this.Thanks for all the help

you can't just come ask me?
it should be pretty easy to convert to 5 lug, you just have to buy some 5 lug parts like spindle/hub assy
lets see what everyone else says

that's about what I'd say: get the 5lug spindles etc and you should be golden.

aren't most spindles 6 bolt? heck we might not even need to switch spindles, just hub assys.

hubs, rotors from a f-150 and 1/2 ton chev caliper brackets.

i looked at it tonight.
he bought it from crapmanche and apparently he switched everything from knuckles out to 8lug chevy.
so i figured we should just get f-150 spindles and hubs etc.
but, i am thinking maybe he should just get 8lug shafts for his 9" and be done. someone has to make them. i am looking into it.

he shouldn't need knuckles, just spindle and hub.

i am trying to find 8 lug axles, but i haven't yet. i bet currie could make them though.

Yes, spindles and hubs will likely be cheaper than the shafts. GEEEZ!!!

You don't need to change the spindles! You only need F150 hubs with the correct bearings(call Six States) and the brake hardware from a 1/2 ton chev front end.

I vote that.....Watched Brent Orton do it to his 8 lug 44. I also used a spare spindle he had on my 8 lug Chev D44.

cool, i'll mention that to him. i was figuring the best thing to do would be compare his parts with ford parts and see what can be done.
