I got a scornful ok from the wife. I know I can't take Friday off let me see what I can do about getting out early. What's the latest you would want to hit the road?Ok I'm up for it. Do you know the area? I have never been down there without a boat. We could take my truck it gets about 18 MPG or yours if you prefer. I may have a buddy that wants to join us

I do not know the area well. I have only been their once in prerunners. I have a few camping spots marked on gps but the morning we went to hitr I was so Hung over I didn't even leave my seat.
Very possible we did several hundred miles over 5 days. I just remember stoping at a sign that said hole in the rock and everyone leaving for an hour or two on a hike while I took a nap. Like I said I don't really know the area so I'm not a trail guide. But I do have gpsI think you're probably confused on which side of HITR. I highly doubt you'd be taking a pre-runner on the HITR 4wd trail (maybe, but seems unlikely). The trail on the other side of the lake (referred to as HITR road) is mostly just a dirt road.
