ok starting off from last week, started with taking off ol sliders and assesing.
process of boatsides:
first marked off 1/2" down from the door line for cut line then straight edged across.
Next was cutting the line, you can also see in this pic i marked an angle down from my cut line on the inner rear fender well, its at 45*
then afterwards taking a sawzall to the cut line to cut through the inside pieces hooked to the rocker, i cute along the bottom on a line i marked from the 45* angles i marked on both fenderwells, front and rear, process also required a sawzall for some parts due to thickness.
then called it a night and returned home to find these waiting for me, pair of corbeua baja ss seats with AAAAAA jdm harness *still waiting on one* and two pairs of corbeua shoulder pads for the harness.
next day was getting big ugly into the shop for welding and tube placement which means dropping it on to a set of spare rims to meet a 6' mark, we have a short garage.
and after all tubed fitted, cage notched and re welded to new tubing, was time to fully weld up the passenger side and flip her around and do the driver side. i will also be adding some 3/4" solid stock to the outside of the new rocker tube for strength
ok so after all said n done got the driver side looking like the passenger, was time for seat mounting and such which i didnt get any pics off, just pics of welding up the driver seat.
aaand finally on a second unrelated note: next task once i convence cory he needs to shop some one tons up and make 14bolt axles and put a 350 in his yota sense the 22r blew up, p.s. if anyone knows anyone with a good 22re hit me up.
