Ryan Iverson bought a detroit form a gut that was broke took it to a machine shop and had it welded, its been in the front axle of his scout for about two mounts with no problem....yet?

I can check on one tomorrow for you Shawn... I have ordered several other Detroit parts, kinda spendy but cheaper than replacing. I would call them directly first to see if they will warranty the entire unit.

That would be very nice Kurt. I have emailed them and asked if I could send them a pic for them to look at. If the replacement side is cheep enough I would just buy a new side. Let me know Kurt,

i tried to get new side gears for a detroit in a 9" and they were not helpfull at all their customer service sucked in my opinion. hopefully it will go better for you thats a bummer never seen a diff break like that

Note for the future....on 9" stuff, most of the circle track catalogs have detroit parts in stock.

Shawn, I think you can order it direct. If nut see what Kurt can do....if all else fails, call Currie.
